Diane Seeman holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Columbus College of Art and Design in Painting, where she also specialized in paper-making and printmaking. By combining the love of texture with her natural sense of color and design she creates abstract works on paper, canvas, board and wood.
The paintings are seemingly bold and initially grabs the viewer's attention with the powerful colors, but upon closer investigation the subtle nuances and details that are developed through many layers of paint and paper come alive and keep the viewer intrigued. By layering acrylic paint, handmade paper, and sometimes watercolor crayons and colored pencils Diane can achieve the depth and details that are so important to the quality of her pieces.
Her work is in many corporate collections such as Toyota, 5/3rd Bank, Miller Valentine Group, Cincinnati Financial Corporation, Tri-Health, and many more. She also participates in Juried Art Shows across the country where she has received numerous awards, and has work in many private collections.
