Coming To A TV Screen Near You
It’s almost 2011 and The United States Supreme Court refuses to televise oral arguments. That is dumb. And this piece from the American Journalism Review does a better job than me of saying why. Not much more to add. Other than the fact that the Ohio Supreme Court has been streaming video of oral arguments for years, and the wheels of justice have not ground to a halt. And thanks to the technology, my mom got to see me argue a case there a few years back. So where’s the downside to that? Is the US Supreme Court against mothers? Hopefully, the Court will add transparency to its list of New Year’s resolutions for 2011. Happy Holidays.
