Content In Cleveland

I didn’t get a chance to post this week because I was in Cleveland, Ohio attending the Content Marketing Institute conference. It was an amazing event. Something like 1700 attendees from around the world considered it enough of a draw to go to Cleveland. Enough said. I found the event fascinating on at least three levels. First, selfishly, as more businesses get into content production there are bound to be legal issues. Here’s a blog post I did on the  Media is Power site that talks about some of those issues. It was also interesting to hear speakers like Jay Baer and Jonathan Mildenhall. There is some amazing stuff happening out there. And I think the need for creativity is maybe greater now than it ever has been. And finally, based on the vendors in the exhibition hall, there is an industry growing up around this concept. If your organization isn’t thinking about how to develop interesting content for your customers, you might be missing out. Oh, and if you get to Cleveland, by all means, check out the Rolling Stones exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Awesome.
