Our firm is committed to embracing and promoting a diverse and inclusive working environment and community, because we know that we make better decisions for our clients, our community and our firm when we consider more diverse perspectives. We strive to respect everyone’s unique contributions regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, color, nationality, religion, age, mental or physical ability, pregnancy, socio-economic status, military status, marital or relationship status, political views, or parental status. Above that foundation, our firm will reflect and support the changing demographics of our clients and our community. This is not just aspirational; it is fundamental to our continued growth and success.
At Graydon, we are working hard to become Greater Cincinnati's most innovative, vibrant and inclusive law firm. Consistent with that vision, we reject racism, bigotry, anti-Semitism, and notions of cultural, racial or religious supremacy. We are at our best when we genuinely value each other, embrace our differences, and celebrate the power of inclusion. We are committed to that.
This summer we held a firm-wide, half-day retreat at The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center where we discussed topics around diversity and inclusion. Part seminar, part interactive workshop, the afternoon created space for us to have important conversations, to listen, and to connect with each other outside of the daily work routine. As a result of this year's success, the firm-wide retreat is now an annual event.
