Graydon Announces Student Loan Repayment Program

Announcement

Graydon is pleased announce the creation of a loan repayment program for associates. The program, starting on January 1, 2022, will pay approximately $400 per month (almost $5,000 per year) of an Associate’s law school debt as long as that employee is an Associate.

“The student debt crisis is real and needs to be addressed. This is one way we can do our part,” said Mike Debbeler, Chair of the Firm’s Executive Committee.

Current Associates and new hires will be eligible for the repayment plan, which will stay in effect until an Associate becomes a Partner.  For someone joining us at the entry-level, that could represent  more than $35,000 total.

“Graydon understands how debt really factors into career decisions,” said Mina Jones Jefferson, Graydon’s Chief People Officer. “We know debt is on the mind of early career attorneys, and we want to let them know they are valued and that this is a benefit of being an Associate of our Firm. It is exciting to be part of a Firm that is willing to be nimble and do things differently when it comes to addressing student debt.”
