HEMP-USDA Comment Period

The USDA issued its interim final rule related to Establishment of a Domestic Hemp Production Program. This is a reminder that the interim final rule has a request for comments, and that comments are due December 30, 2019.

The interim final rule navigates the land used for production, sampling and testing for THC, disposal of non-compliant plants, compliance with enforcement procedures and annual inspections, information sharing, and certification of resources.  The Department of Agriculture Plan is comprehensive and is a “must understand” for everyone in the hemp industry – seed to consumer.
