Caleb Bell Quoted in ColumbusCEO Article

Firm News

Caleb Bell, Partner and Public Finance Practice Group Chair at Bricker Graydon, was recently featured in an article by ColumbusCEO titled "Columbus Law Firms Have Found a Niche Advising Businesses on Economic Development.” The article discusses the two new computer chip factories that will be constructed near New Albany by 2025 and features insight from local attorneys who specialize in economic development and played a key role in making the announcement possible.

Caleb shares how he got into this area of law, saying that in 2007, Economic Development was once considered a specialized practice, it has now burgeoned into a multifaceted and intricate area of law, with an increasing complexity in property tax laws, leading to the full-blown practice it is today. He notes that this multidisciplinary practice involves various areas of law, including contract, corporate, property, and income tax.

Caleb further explained that building trusted partnerships and offering counsel is a significant part of the job. This often requires working closely with elected officials to offer advice and make informed decisions. He emphasized the importance of offering "trusted advice" to small governments, noting that they need to be well-advised.
