Social Media Crystal Ball

It wouldn’t be the New Year without predictions for the coming year, right? We know that at least one Sports Illustrated writer has picked the Cincinnati Reds to win the 2012 World Series. So now that we’ve gotten the important stuff out of the way, here’s an interesting post on Mashable that lays out five predictions for Social Media Law in 2012. We’ve blogged on all of these issues, and it’s a good list. I’d probably add a few more – increasing litigation/regulation over the use of private information; continued attention to the use of social media in the professional services fields; and more litigation over the ability to tweet and blog from courtrooms. We’ll keep blogging about all of these issues. But if the Reds do make the World Series, I’ll probably take that week off.
