Social Media Is Officially A Big Deal
Two articles from Advertising Age confirm this fact. The first describes Clorox’s efforts to hire an in-house attorney dedicated to social media matters. I was quoted in it, so yes, this is a little shameless self-promotion. The other article talks about Procter & Gamble’s efforts to incorporate Facebook and Twitter into its marketing plans. It’s opened a dedicated office in Silicon Valley for the effort. But can there be any doubt of the influence of social networking when a corporate legal department and an old line soap maker embrace it? I think not.
