Having worked in both private practice at various law firms and as in-house counsel for a large sporting goods company, Laura Perez is well-suited to helping clients with their legal real estate needs. Laura has been on both sides of the table in the attorney-client relationship and her firsthand working knowledge is a valuable asset to her clients. She has represented and advised owners, developers, landlords, tenants, borrowers, and lenders in connection with a wide range of commercial real estate transactions. Some of the transactions she helps manage include the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of office, retail, medical, warehouse, and industrial properties.
Laura has represented national hotelier in developing and driving retail leasing opportunities across the U.S. She served as domestic real estate counsel in American-based acquisitions, dispositions, and development for European clients. Laura has drafted and negotiated life cycle of real estate documents for retail, office, hotel, and industrial properties, including LOIs, leases, amendments and renewals, estoppels and subordination agreements, representing landlords and tenants. Clients rely on Laura to provide legal interpretation and support to their accounting, property management, construction, and development departments.
As in-house counsel, Laura developed and implemented company-wide contract review, management, and administration process. She created and implemented various corporate policies and procedures with emphasis on regulatory and statutory compliance. Having been a fierce protector of her company’s corporate intellectual property, she lends that counsel to her clients as well.
