Amy Blankenship is a seasoned attorney in Bricker Graydon’s Public Sector Industry Group and is a member of the firm’s Political Subdivisions Team. Having served in Law Director roles for several municipalities in southwest Ohio, Amy knows first-hand the legal challenges and opportunities her public sector clients face.

As a former Deputy Director of the City of Dayton law department, Amy works with public sector clients in matters involving land use and zoning, labor and employment, public records and open meetings matters. Additionally, Amy helps her clients with appropriations, annexation, and public contracts. A frequent presenter to local board and commission members, Amy spends time educating communities on complex legal matters. Amy believes when a citizen commits his or her personal time to contribute to the community by serving on a local board or commission, that individual deserves the tools necessary to serve to the best of his or her ability. Training board and commission members in meeting management, public hearing procedures, and Ohio sunshine law is one of the true joys of her job.

After many years of serving a wide array of different communities, Amy appreciates the unique aspects of diverse local entities. Her clients have come to rely upon Amy to maneuver through tricky legal challenges to meet their community’s specific needs. Amy knows that each community’s priorities and challenges are distinct and deserve a specialized approach.
