There’s Still Time to Claim Ohio Bar and Restaurant Assistance Funds

Article

Earlier this year, we reported on the Ohio Bar and Restaurant Assistance Fund, which made funding available through the CARES Act for Ohio liquor permit holders.  This specific fund provides $2,500 to each qualifying location.

The deadline to file is 12/30/2020, and with just over a week until the filing deadline, it has been reported that over 1/3 of eligible permit holders have not applied for this funding, meaning a substantial amount is currently unclaimed and will be returned to the federal government after the end of the year.

The fund is not only available to traditional bars/restaurants - almost 30 different permits qualify (including breweries, wineries, and distilleries).

Here is a link with eligibility criteria.  All businesses and organizations can submit their applications through the Ohio Development Services Agency website by clicking here.
